Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This policy describes refund eligibility, cancellation procedures, and billing practices for The Operator's Brief, operated by Public Arch LLC. All subscriptions are billed quarterly via Stripe.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription payment. If you are not satisfied with the Service within 30 days of your initial charge, you may request a full refund by contacting billing@thepricegap.com.
This guarantee applies only to the first billing cycle. Subsequent quarters are not eligible for the money-back guarantee.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Your account settings (Cancel button on your dashboard)
- Emailing billing@thepricegap.com
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service and all previously generated reports through the remainder of the period you have already paid for. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
4. Pause Option
As an alternative to cancellation, you may pause your subscription for up to one quarter. During a pause:
- No charges are processed
- Your account data and history are preserved
- You will not receive new reports or updates
- Your subscription automatically resumes at the start of the next quarter

5. Refunds After the Guarantee Period
After the 30-day money-back guarantee period, subscriptions are non-refundable. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial quarters. This applies regardless of usage during the billing period.
Exceptions may be considered at our sole discretion in cases of documented Service outages exceeding 72 continuous hours or billing errors on our part. Contact billing@thepricegap.com to discuss.
6. Price Changes
We may adjust subscription pricing with at least 30 days' written notice before your next renewal date. If you disagree with a price change, you may cancel before the renewal date. No retroactive price increases will be applied to already-paid periods.
7. Auto-Renewal
All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each quarterly billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. Renewal charges are processed at the then-current subscription rate. You will receive a renewal reminder email at least 7 days before each charge.
8. Termination for Cause
If we terminate your account for violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, no refund is issued, including for any remaining time in the billing period.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund under the 30-day guarantee or to discuss exceptional circumstances:
- Email billing@thepricegap.com with your account email and reason for the request
- Eligible refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method
